Complete Change – Tipton Kitchen
This 1990’s built detached house in Tipton St John required a complete kitchen reconfiguration. The owners wanted a more sociable kitchen and a move towards better utilisation of the utility space. Our design team worked with family members to develop a modern, stylish yet individual kitchen while re-purposing much of the old kitchen furniture and worksurfaces for refitting in the roomy utility space.
The kitchen incorporates matt textured flat slab doors in a blue dusk colour with complimentary Carrara marble effect compact laminate worksurfaces and under-mount stainless steel sink. With all new wine fridge and built under larder fridge in the kitchen enabling the large volume existing fridge/freezer to be relocated to the nearby roomy utility space. Complimented with a grey brick tiled splash-back with pale grey grout. The lack of wall units within the main kitchen space enabled matching shelves to display greenery and family mementos. Subsequent to the completion of the kitchen and utility works the clients stumbled across a perfectly matching set of kettle, toaster and microwave while out shopping and couldn’t resist adding these to scheme !
The ground floor hall, cloakroom, kitchen, dining and utility area has been re-floored using large format porcelain tiles with complimentary grout colour, leaving just the living room with a cosy carpet. An easy to maintain surface in all the high traffic areas of the house.
